Work Experience and Internships
Internships
The Royal Court offers longer term (4 weeks or more) internships in the Communications Department, Education Department and Development Department throughout the year.
The Communications Department has a rolling internship scheme and is currently looking for an intern to start immediately. Communications interns work within Press, Marketing and Audience Development. Applicants should be over eighteen and interested in a career in the arts or marketing.
The placement is for a minimum of one month (max three months) and is full time (Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm). Unfortunately the placement is unpaid, but London travel expenses are covered and lunch is provided.
Please email your CV and a covering letter to Ruth Hawkins Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications, we can not reply to everyone. If you have been successful you will be contacted and invited for an interview.
The Development Department also has a rolling internship scheme. The next placement will begin in March 2012. The Development Department is the Royal Court’s dedicated Fundraising Team and works with Individuals, Companies and Charitable Trusts and Foundations to raise over £1 million annually to support the theatre’s productions and extensive programme of play development activity.
An internship in the Development Department will involve supporting the Team through research, events administration, working on applications for funding as well as general support. An internship offers a great introduction to fundraising for a theatre and is a minimum of one month (max three months), ideally full time.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to Penny Saward As the Development Department operates a rolling internship scheme, we may retain applications until a suitable position is available.
