This autumn, the Royal Court will be working in partnership with French Wines, through sponsorship of the successful and long-standing programme of great value, accessible tickets for Monday performances. The £10 Mondays scheme has introduced generations of new theatre audiences to ground-breaking new plays for many years and this new partnership will keep this tradition alive.

The Royal Court has an international reputation for innovation, excellence and diversity, all qualities that French wines are also renowned for. During the autumn season, the Royal Court Café Bar will offer an extensive wine list made up exclusively of French wines.

The wine list we created together encompasses wines from all over the country, from great value Vin de France, right up to elegant Sancerre and Crozes-Hermitage. Fortunately France has an incredibly diverse range of wines styles, and Bibendum has most of the bases covered, so putting together an interesting and well balanced list was reasonably straightforward. One of the great aspects of a French list is the ability to showcase some of the lesser known wines which sadly tend to get left off international wine lists. The Picpoul de Pinet for example was a big hit in the preliminary tastings.
