Major Donor
Becoming a Major Donor signifies a very personal and bespoke relationship with the Royal Court and our entire team. As a Major Donor, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the Royal Court by supporting one of the theatre’s distinctive and specialist programmes – be that a playwriting group, writers’ festival, production or education initiative.
To acknowledge the essential contribution that you make, we will create bespoke opportunities that accommodate and celebrate your support. Dedicated representatives from our Development team and Artistic Department will guide you through every aspect of the play development process, from the discovery of a new voice to the opening night.
Writers Development Fund
All of the Royal Court’s work with writers comes under the banner of the Writers Development Fund. We spend nearly as much on our play development activities as we do on the productions you see on our stages. Our work behind the scenes is absolutely crucial to discovering the best new writers and to getting their plays produced.
This work is the backbone of the Royal Court and makes an enormous contribution to British theatre as a whole; many writers who once honed their talents here are now produced on stages throughout the world and studied in schools, colleges and universities.
The Writers Development Fund encompasses the work of the Literary Department and its un-matched commitment to read and respond to over 3,000 scripts every year; the remit of the Studio to practically develop and realise the freshest ideas; and the global reach of the International Department, which travels across five continents to empower the voices of writers across the world.
We would be delighted if you would like to make a donation the Writers Development Fund. To find out more about the difference yourcontribution will make, please contact Gaby Styles, Head of Development on 020 7565 5060 or at gabystyles@royalcourttheatre.com.
