What is the state of new writing today?
Is new writing exciting, original and abundant? Or, are there just too many mediocre new plays by average writers with nothing to say?
Or is it a case of lack of opportunity for truly bold visionary and creative voices to be recognized and to be heard?
Leo Butler, playwright and YWP writers tutor, chairs a debate about all the above and more. The panel will include Bola Agbaje, Michael Billington, Dominic Cooke, David Eldridge and Mel Kenyon.
