The Royal Court Bookshop prides itself on offering a diverse selection of contemporary plays and publications on the theory and practice of modern drama. With each new play that comes through the theatre, a brand new playtext is put on sale containing the full script for just £3. Playtexts from past productions are also available, many sold at £3.

Our staff specialise in assisting with the selection of audition monologues and scenes. Personal advice is available to anyone wanting help in selecting new and interesting roles from our extensive range of modern plays. We also hold selections of classical plays, as well as books on acting and professional development. The best time to come in for advice is between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The Bookshop offers a postal service for all books and merchandise. For a single playtext, you can expect to pay £2 for UK, £3.15 for Europe or approximately £4.15 for international delivery (please contact our team for an exact price).

We also offer an exclusive subscription service for individuals, schools and businesses whereby playtexts are posted to you directly on the first preview of each new play. We are the only retailer able to sell playtexts at the much reduced price of £3, making an annual subscription just £90, which covers 20 plays and postal charges.
