Royal Court Student Reps

Are you passionate about theatre and willing to spend some of your spare time promoting the work of the Royal Court to your fellow students, colleagues, social networks, friends and family? Ever thought of yourself as an Ambassador for a top London Theatre? If you are motivated, enthusiastic and a self-starter then we’d like to hear from you.

The Royal Court is a leading force in world theatre, finding and producing new plays that are original, contemporary and challenging. We are an artistically led organisation that creates the conditions for writers, nationally and internationally, to flourish.

Our Student Reps help us promote the Royal Court beyond our Sloane Square home, across London, specifically to new individuals, networks and communities, through peer-to-peer marketing. The scheme is now in its successful second year, with 100s of applications making their way through our Stage Door.

We are not currently recruiting but do check back in September 2010 for details of how to apply.

Key duties include:

• Attend monthly briefing meetings
• Promote Royal Court productions to existing contacts and recruit a new network of contacts
• Maintain regular communication with the Communications Assistant to pass on new contacts and give feedback which will inform our marketing campaigns
• Work towards attendance targets
• Keep up to date with ticket pricing and availability of stand-by tickets, on a show by show basis
• Have a commitment to the Royal Court Theatre and our core values

The position of Student Rep is unpaid. Reps are recruited for an initial six month period and one month’s notice is required to leave the scheme. We reserve the right to withdraw individuals from the scheme at our own discretion.
